Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the connector for the IC capable of surely attaining a connection without requiring an insert/pull-out force by a method wherein movement of an actuating element by an operation lever causes a movable contact segment to be moved and a lead wire to be connected by squeezing and released from the connection between the movable contact segment and a fixed contact segment. CONSTITUTION:A contact 7 composed of the fixed contact segment 7a and the movable contact segment 7b is fixed to the lower body 4 of an insulation case 1 corresponding to a lead wire arrangement of IC. A lead wire guide hole 2c is formed in the upper body 2 of the insulation case 1 corresponding to each contact position. An actuating element plate 9 is provided between the lower body 4 and the upper body 2 of the case, and an operating cam 12 moved reciprocally by the rotation or movement of the operation levers 13, 14 moves the actuating element plate 9. The forward movement of the actuating element plate 9 causes the actuating element 11 to press the movable contact segment 7b and to squeeze the lead wire 10 inserted between the fixed and movable contact segments, and a return of the actuating element plate 9 causes the releasing of contact. Whereby the connection and release can be performed without the insert/pull-out force.
