Abstract
PURPOSE:To equalize the consumption of contacts of a change-over switch and to contrive to elongate the life of the on-load tap changer by a method wherein optional number of lead out parts or slidable contact parts are provided at a current- limiting resistor itselt enabling the changing of the current-limiting resistance value of the change-over switch. CONSTITUTION:The lead out parts r1-r3 are provided respectively at the current- limiting resistor R1. In regard to the rated capacity, the lead out part r1 is provided, for example, at the position corresponding to the resistance value at the time of 100% loading, and the lead out parts r2, r3 are provided samely corresponding respectively to 75%, 50%, and the whole of the current-limiting resistor R1 is led out from the on-load tap changer of a transformer by connecting to the lead out part r3. Accordingly the same result can be obtained with the case when a resistance value Rp of the current-limiting resistor is decided from the expression Rp=0.5e/ iL (e is stepping voltage) making the value of load current iL to 50% of the capacity of the transformer, and because the sum total of breaking duty of respective contacts HA, HB and WA, WB becomes equal, the consumption of electrodes becomes to proceed equally.
