Abstract

PURPOSE:To prolong the life of ink by automatically filling a solvent equivalent to the volatile component of ink into an ink bottle intermittently, proportional to an operating time during ink injection. CONSTITUTION:Ink recovered by means of a gutter is returned to an ink tank, and is again conducted to a nozzle to be recycled. An auxiliary tank 18 having an opening on the upper part is connected to an ink tank 11. An electromagnetic valve 19 and a throttle valve 20 are interpositioned across the said connection. The volatility rate of the ink solvent component is generally low such as less than 1cc/hr. Therefore, in order to allow the making-up of an insignificant quantity, the electromagnetic valve 19 is operated intermittently.
