Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the abnormal rise of output voltage of a main generator of the vehicle driven by the internal combustion engine when the notch is made to be OFF state by a method wherein a control coil to be operated by an output of the main generator is provided to the contactor of a cumulative field winging circuit of an exciter in addition to a control coil to be operated by the command from the main controller.
CONSTITUTION: When the notch of the main controller MC is made to be ON state, the control coil EXK(L) is excited to close the contactor EFK, and a current IEXF flows in the cumulative field winding EXF of the excitor EX. At this time, a current IEXDF proporticonal to the output voltage of the main generator G flows in a differential field winding EXDF of the excitor EX. When the nothch of the main controller MC is made to be OFF state, the control coil EXK(L) becomes to be in the no exciting satate, but because the control coil EXK(H) is excited by the output voltage of the main generator G, the contactor EFK holds the closed state, and the contactor EFK is released when the output voltage of the main generator G becomes to be the prescribed value or less.
