CONSTITUTION: An Ni-P alloy contg. 8W12% P is used. For example, hard particles of an Fe-30Cr-7B alloy of 0.2W2.0ϕ particle size and powder of an Ni-11P alloy are mixed in about 50:50 ratio and sintered in a vacuum furnace at about 900°C. The hardness of the hard particles in the resulting structure is about Hv 1,000W 1,100, and that of the matrix about Hv 400W500.
