Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve productivity and lower the cost of iron making without accompanying the increase in fuel cost by specifying the temp. at tuyere ends and further specifying the relation between the furnace wall temp. loaded from the root part of the infurnace melt-stuck matter and the max. temp. of the furnace wall in the upper part. CONSTITUTION:In blast furnace operation, the temp. at tuyere ends is kept at >=2,500 deg.C, and the infurnace constitution of (charged iron and steel ore + charged sintered one) weight O/charged coke weight C is controlled to furnace center part > furnace wall part. Thereby, the ventilation resistance in the furnace center part is increased and the lengthening of the melt-stuck zone toward the upper place is prevented. Further, the relation between the furnace wall temp. D loaded from the root part of the infurnace melt-stuck matter and the maximum temp. of the furnace wall S in the upper part is so controlled as to assume S/D<=1. If these conditions are maintained, the shape of the melt-stuck matter stabilizes and the furnace is operated at low fuel costs.
