Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled substances, by heating and dehydrating an N-hydroxyethyl or propyl derivative of a carboxylic acid amide, introducing the produced gas containing water into an azeotropic distillation column to distill off water as the azeotropic mixture with the organic solvent, and extracting the objective substances from the bottom of the column.
CONSTITUTION: The N-hydroxyethyl or propyl derivative of a carboxylic acid amide derived from an aliphatic carboxylic acid having 1W6C alkyl group (esp. acetic acid or propionic acid) and monoethanolamine or monopropanolamine, is dehydrated by heating, and the carboxylic acid amide used as the raw material is separated from the produced gas composed of water and titled substances by fractional distillation under reflux. The produced gas is introduced into a fractional distillation column containing organic solvent vapor, water is distilled off as the azeotropic mixture with the organic solvent, and the titled substances are extracted from the bottom of the column.
EFFECT: The coexistence of the titled substances with water in a liquid phase is minimized, and the ring cleavage reaction is suppressed.
