CONSTITUTION: After plating waste fluid sludge taken out from a plating waste fluid treating device 1 is dried in a drying furnace 2, the sludge is fed to a kneader- crusher 4 through the first constant amount feeder 3. Simultaneously, after sewerage taken out from a sewerage treating device 5 is dried in a heating furnace 6, it is fed to the mixture kneader-crusher 4 through the second constant amount feeder 7 for crushing. Afterwards, the mixture is supplied to a melting furnace 8 for fusion, and the plating waste liquid sludge and sewage sludge are fusion-processed at a single stroke. A component of a sludge, which is taken out consequent upon the sewage treatment, causes a chrome melting point to lower below a given point and thus it can melt the chrome.
