Abstract
PURPOSE:To automate the assembling of an insulator between the interphase insulators at the ends of the coils and to improve the productivity thereof by inserting a wedge into a slot after inserting the first phase coil into a core, welding the insulator at both ends of the wedge, and then inserting the second phase coil. CONSTITUTION:After the first phase coil 2 is inserted into a stator core 1, a wedge 4 is inserted into the slot of the core. Both the ends 4a, 4b of the wedge 4 are projected from both the end faces of the core, and interphase insulator 5 is molten at both the ends 4a, 4b of the wedge 4. Thereafter, the second phase coil 3 is inserted into the wedge 4. Even if the first and second phase coils 2 and 3 are not thus expanded between the ends of the coils, the interphase insulator 5 can be mounted to improve the productivity.
