Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality image by using an amorphous Se or Se alloy layer as the 1st layer of two photoconductive layers different from each other in sensitivity to chromatic light in the visible light region and forming a layer absorbing light of specified wavelengths between the layers to greatly separate two colors by potential. CONSTITUTION:The 1st photoconductive layer 12 is formed on electrically conductive substrate 11 by vapor depositing amorphous Se or an Se-Te alloy contg. 6- 12wt% Te, and on layer 12 middle layer 13 contg. methylene blue cyanine dye or the like absorbing >=700nm light is formed. Layer 13 is then covered with the 2nd photoconductive layer 14 made of semiconductor with high sensitivity in the >=600nm red color region to manufacture receptor 1 greatly separating black and red colors by potential and giving a clear image. Thus, a red-black-white dichromatic copied image is obtd. by a single imagewise exposure.
