Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A carbamic acid ester of formula I [n is 0 or 1; R1 and R2 are -H, -OCH3, or -OCONHR6 (R6 is 8W26C aliphatic hydrocarbon residue), at least one of R1 and R2 is -OCONHR6, R3, R4, and R5 are lower alkyl, etc.]. or its salt.
EXAMPLE: 3-(N-n-Heptadecylcarbamoyl)propyl 2-bromoethylphosphate.
USE: It suppresses the proliferation of tumor cells (e.g. mouse leukemia cells M1, Sarcoma 180, etc.), and is useful as an antitumor agent. Administration of the compound to a warm-blooded animal affected by malignant tumor remarkably elongates its life. It has antifungal activity, and useful as a preventive and remedy for frichophytia, candida, etc., and also useful as an agricultural fungicide for the plate blights such as anthrancnose of cucumber, gray mold, etc.
PROCESS: The compound of formula I is prepared by reacting a compound of formula II (Y is Cl, Br, etc.) with a compound of formula III.
