Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion of the entire part of structures such as steel pipe piles in coastal environments by performing corrosion prevention near parts exposed to tide by basic Al coating, and the electrolytic protection of the sea submerged parts by an external power supply method in combination in performing corrosion prevention of said structures.
CONSTITUTION: Since the parts of iron-and steel-made structures installed in coastal environments of tidal area and sea water splashes are exposed intermittently to sea water and heavily corrode, they are coated with Al of ≥99.7% purity to 0.15W 0.25mm thickness by gas melt-spraying or the like. Further, negative polarization of an external DC power source is connected to this coated Al, and the positive polarization of the power source is suspended in the sea by means of the auxiliary electrode made of a Pb-Ag alloy. The potential baser by 0W100mV than the coated Al is applied to the structures existing in the sea water always under the Al coated parts, so that the parts centering to the tide are protected against corrosion by the coated Al, and the protection of the sea submerged parts which receives electrolytic corrosion is also effected in parallel.
