Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform joining of stable quality without interposing any brittle metallic compound in joining parts by using a laminated plate consisting of three layers in which an Al alloy is a core material and an Al-Si alloy is both facing materials as an insert material. CONSTITUTION:An insert material 4 is interposed between a pure Ti plate 2 and a pure Al plate 3, and an arbitrary number of these three are laminated. The insert material 4 is formed by laminating the three 4a-4c; the core material 4a made of an Al alloy, and the facing materials 4b, 4c made of an Al-Si alloy provided on the top and under sides of the core material 4a. If a specimen 1 is heated at a temp. above the m.p. of the materials 4b, 4c and below the solidusline of the material 4a and the materials 2, 3 to be joined, the materials 4b, 4c., that is, the Al-Si alloy assumes a molten state and the Al or Si diffuses to the Ti plate 2 and Al plate 3. On the other hand, the materials 2, 3 are held pressed and therefore, the Al-Si alloy is partly pushed out from the joining interface and the Ti and Al join to one piece without the formation of any notable compound layer.
