Abstract
PURPOSE:To high accurately control the shape of the sheet in a wide range, by constituting the shape controller so as to operate the setting signal and the feedback signal sent from two shape detectors possessing dissimilar steepness detection ranges, and to send the control signal to the shape control mechanism of the rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:The load cell 6, for detecting the load caused by the slack of the sheet 5 and its breadth fluctuation, is installed under the segmental roll 4 arranged between the work roll 3 and the deflector roll 9; the signal of the load cell 6 is inputted to the arithmetic control 8 through the display 7. The TV camera 12 catches the sheet shape of the part irradiated by the light emitted from the barlike luminous source 11; the shape signal of the TV camera 12 is inputted to said control 8 through the monitor 13. Further, the setting signal is sent from the shape setter 1 to the control 8; this signal, said detection signal of <=1% steepness sent from the load cell 6, and the detection signal of >=0.5% steepness sent from the TV camera 12, are operated by the control 8 which then sends a control signal to the bending cylinder 2, so that the shape of the sheet 5 can be controlled to a high accuracy.
