Abstract

PURPOSE: Soybean or powdery soybean sterilized by boiling is mixed with a powder of oyster; then, Bacillus natto is inoculated and cultured in the mixture to produce medical synergism between the effects of Bacillus natto and taurine in oyster.
CONSTITUTION: Soybean or powdery soybean which is sterilized by boiling (100 pts.wt.) is combined with an oyster powder (5W3pts.). Bacillus natto is inoculated and cultured in the mixture and the product is freeze-dried to produce said nutritious food. For example, 100pts.wt. of soybean powder which has previously been crushed into particles of 0.5W1mm sizes are sterilized by boiling and combined with 5pts. of oyster powder. Bacillus natto is inoculated and cultured in the mixture in the same manner as "natto" is produced usually, that is, the culture medium is placed in a cluturing room which is kept at 38W42°C. The resultant nutritious food can be stored for a long time and when eaten, it becomes readily digestible by the action of gastrointestinal tracts.
