Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a small sized and inexpensive device, by making a shift register doubly served as a low switch of a driving circuit of the recording part inthe driving circuit of a large-size image sensor. CONSTITUTION:The picture signal input (i) is stored in the shift register 1, and at the same time a scan is given to the column electrodes 1-n of the thermal head 3. The address signal A is applied to the low switching circuit 4, and then the low terminal of the large-size image sensor 7 is selected. Then the first N bits of the picture signal (i) are read out by the sensor 7, and this output emerges at the output terminal 8 via the diode D1. After this, the outputs are obtained successively from the diodes D2...Dm each. In such way, the driving circuit of the image sensor 7 doubles both the recording shift register 1 and the low switch circuit 4. Thus the number of component parts are saved to realize reduction of cost and small-sized structure.
