Abstract

A multifunction diagnostic display for a vehicle dashboard contains a display device controlled by an electronic module which receives data corresp. to a series of fault signals. The display can be controlled so that only one fault signal is shown at a time and a further device causes at least two fault signals to be shown in succession. The electronic module has a memory (14) for a number of fault signals corresp. to a number of faults. Each fault signal is associated with a priority ranking. ADVANTAGE - Display is of very simple design and eliminates some disadvantages of conventional ones, including that information is lost if display is damaged.
