Abstract
PURPOSE:To accurately find a specific heat, by measuring supplied heat amount and the temperature raise of a substrate raising the temperature by irradiating a pulselike light beam to a high temp. conductive substrate then again irradiating said beam to a liquid sample being wetted to measure temp. rise and supplied heat amount. CONSTITUTION:The specific gravity of the liquid sample 1 to be measured is molten mineral slag, and stored in the platinum cell 4 stuck on the adiabatic tantalum plate 3 which is placed on the upper end of the tantalum pipe 2 capable of freely ascending and descending. Further, a high temperature conductive substrate e.g. the platinum disk 5, is supported by the wire 10 to measure it surface temperature by the thermocouple 11. Then, a temperature is raised by irradiating a pulselike light beam on the substrate 5 and the supplied heat amount Qs and temperature raise of the substrate 5DELTAT1, are measured. Next, the substrate 5 is wetted and a temperature is raised by irradiating the pulselike light beam again. As a result specific heat is accurately measured by measuring only the raised temperature DELTAT2, supplied heat amount Qs and mass ML of the liquid sample.
