Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a subject water warmer which is reduced in power consumption, by a method wherein the heat of a gas compressing heat exchange cycle is used as a heat source and an electric heater as an auxiliary heat source. CONSTITUTION:A high-temperature compressed liquefied gas, compressed by means of a compressor 7, is radiated to water in a hot-water tank 5 through the working of a condenser 8 to produce a low-temperature compressed liquefied gas. The liquefied gas enters into a heat absorber 10 where it is gasified at low temperature, and is cycled to the compressor 7. By repeating the aboves, water in the hot water tank 7 is heated into hot water. When hot water becomes 70 deg.C, a temperature sensor 3 works to turn on an electric heater 6 which heats it to a given temperature. At a given temperature, the temperature sensor 4 works to turn off the power source of the electric heater. This enables a consumption power required for rising of temperature from 0 deg.C to 85 deg.C to be reduced by half in comparison with conventional methods.
