Abstract

PURPOSE: To control a dehumidifying operation without the need for a humidity sensor, by a method wherein a dry-bulb temperature and an increase amount of drain generated through a dehumidifying action of a cooler are compared with a reference value.
CONSTITUTION: A drain collection amount and a curve data of a dry-bulb temperature are memoried in a microcomputer housed in a casing of a drier combined with a dehumidifier, and the dry-bulb temperature and an increase rate of the drain collection amount are inputted to a control part for comparation. An effective area A and a noneffective area B are then determined, and a dehumidifying, air-warming operation is performed by working a refrigerating cycle only while it is within the effective area A. This allows a device to perform a dehumidifying operation without the need for a temperature sensor.
