Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to carry out inner surface painting of a container with a complicated shape, in subjecting an inner surface of a hermetically closed metal container to the electrodeposition painting, by a method wherein an aqueous paint is poured and filled in the container as well as a conventional electroconductive fuel sucking member is utilized as an electrode.
CONSTITUTION: A cationic water soluble paint 8 is poured and filled in a fuel tank 1 from an inlet 2. Subsequently, a positive side of a rectifier 9a of a power source apparatus 9 is connected to one end of a sucking pipe 5 exposed to an external part of the tank 1 and a negative side of the rectifier 9a is connected to the tank 1 itself. Then, the sucking member 3 is used as an anode and the tank 1 itself as a cathode and current is conducted between both of them to subject the inner surface of the tank 1 contacting with the paint 8 to the electrodeposition painting. Further, employing paint 8 as an anionic material, the member 3 is used as a cathode while the tank 1 itself as an anode and, then, electrodeposition painting may be carried out.
