Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce fluid pressure by use of wave force, by attaching a wave receiving float having a wave reflecting plate to posts that can be moved in the direction of the movement of waves, in the manner that it can be moved vertically, and connecting the posts to pistons in cylinder chambers which are communicated to a water feed pipe.
CONSTITUTION: Posts 2, reciprocally movable in the direction of the movement of waves, are pivotally supported on a support leg 1 which is fixed to the bottom of the sea, and a wave receiving float 3 having a wave reflecting plate 6 is supported on the posts 2 in the manner that it can be moved in response to the water level. The posts 2 are connected to pistons 9 in cylinder chambers 8 communicated to a water feed pipe 7. When the float 3 is pushed by waves, pistons 9 are pushed by the posts 2, so that water is forced into the pipe 7 and water pressure in the pipe 7 is raised. Water having thus caused movement of float 3 raises its level on the plate 6 and is brought back toward the float 3 when falling downward by its own gravity, so that the float 3 is pushed at its back surface and brought back to its original position. Thus, water pressure in the pipe 7 is increased repeatedly by the reciprocal movement of waves. Here, if a turbine or the like is placed in the pipe 7, generation of electric power is made possible.
