Abstract

The wave and tide electrical generation system uses a floating chamber (30). This chamber rises and falls as the water level in a basin risen and falls. Mounted transversely on the upper surface (36) of the chamber (30) is identical opposed lateral lever and piston system (40). The lever system is pivotted and has at its ends a pinion (46) which meshes with a toothed wheel (56). The toothed wheel (56) drives a rack (68) which operates an hydraulic piston (72) which feeds into an hydraulic circuit. The hydraulic circuit drives the turbine of the generation system.
