Abstract
PURPOSE: To purify the waste liquid at the washing of a large-sized tank rapidly and efficiency by systemizing the recovery of bottom residue, the separation of the oil-contg. waste water of steam washing, the reuse of separated water, and the filtration and releasing of the oil-contg. waste water after the end of the washing.
CONSTITUTION: The residual oil in the bottom of a tank 1 is recovered into a tank 9 through a stagnating tank 11 by way of a valve 6 and the sludge having been heated and molten by the bottomed steam pipe is recovered into the tank 9. Hot water and steam are successively sent into the tank 1 from sources 13, 14, by which the tank is washed. The oil-contg. waste water floated by this is sent through a suction 16 then through a storage tank 17 into a separating column 20. Here, the waste liquid is subjected to pressurizing, heating and stagnating treatment, and the oil separated by the repetition of these is circulated into the tank 9 and the roughly separated water into the tank 1. This is repeated and the waste liquid in the tank 1 after the end of the steam washing is sent directly into the column 20, where it is subjected to final oil-water separation, and the oil is pumped into the tank 9. The roughly separated water is successively filtered in PP-crimped fiber-, active carbon packed columns 25, 28, thence it is released.
