Abstract
PURPOSE: To liquefy coal economically without using expensive hydrogen source and equipping a device for recovery of hydrogen after the reaction, by utilizing a carbonization gas of a coke oven as a hydrogen source for preparing a hydrogenating source.
CONSTITUTION: In the coal pretreatment and slurry production process 2, the coal C is dried, granulated, and blended with the hydrogenating solvent Y, to give coal slurry first. The slurry is fed to the liquefaction reaction process 3 and reacted with hydrogen in the hydrogenating solvent under high pressure at high temperature so that it is hydrogenated and craked. After the liquefaction reaction, the formed gas G2 is separated by the high-pressure separation column 4, and liquefied reaction products are separated by the separating process 5 into the solid liquefaction residue Z, the light of oil O1 having a boiling point not higher than 200°C, the middle oil O2 having a boiling point 200W370°C, and the heavy oil O3 having a boiling point not lower than 370°C. The middle oil O2 as the recylcing solvent is sent to the production process 6 for the hydrogenating solvent, and H2 in the carbonization gas G1 of the coke oven 1 is added to the middle oil under high pressure at high temperature in the presence of a catalyst, to prepare the hydrogenating solvent Y providing hydrogen, which is sent to the process 2. Excess recylcling solvent is taken out as the middle oil O2', and fed as fuel.
