Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce hydrogen with no steam continuously, by equipping two or more reactor preparing hydrogen by the reaction of a metal hydride and water, followed by piping them so that they can be used individually or in series.
CONSTITUTION: The two reactors 10 and 20 producing hydrogen by the reaction of a metal hydride and water are equipped, and they are placed using the three-way valves 9, 12, and 22, and the check valves 11, 13, 21, and 23 so that the reactors 10 and 20 can be operated individually, alternately, or in series, by changing the valves. When they are operated in series, for example, water 6 is fed to the reactor 10, hydrogen prepared by the reaction of water and the metal hydride in the reactor 10 is introduced to the reactor 20, and steam contained in hydrogen is absorbed into the metal hydride in the reactor 20. The prepared gas as a high-purity gas is fed from the hydrogen feed valve 24 to a hydrogen consuming device.
