Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the precision of signal transmission and obtain the characteristics of good wavelength separability by providing the optical film faces of the wavelength characteristics respectively allowing the transmission of only the required light waves in the respective optical paths of the waveguide on the light insident side branched by the optical film faces. CONSTITUTION:At the branching point 5 of optical guides 1-3, an optical film 4 having the wavelength characteristic allowing the transmission of only the light wave of the central wavelength of e.g. lambda2 is provided to the slant end face of 45 deg. of the waveguide 1, and an optical film 11 of the wavelength characteristic allowing the transmission of only the light wave of the central wavelength of lambda1 reflected by the film 4 is interposingly disposed in the exit side optical guide 2, and further an optical film 12 of the wavelength characteristic allowing the transmission of only the light wave of lambda2 transmitted by the film 4 is interposingly installed in the exit side optical guide 3. The branching parts 5 of these waveguides 1-3 are stuck compactly by an adhesive agent to become an optical matching agent, whereby they are formed in one body. These enable the characteristics of good wavelength separability to be obtained and make it possible to improve the precesion of signal transmission.
