Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an input of Chinese characters in a short time of practice, by installing a reading input means of Chinese characters plus its form input means, a retrieving means, a selecting means and an inspection means to an input device containing a keyboard. CONSTITUTION:The keyboard 3 is formed by providing the Chinese character initiation key 4, the Chinese completion key 14 and the form key 20 to the kana (Japanese syllabary) keyboard for information process. First the key 4 is pushed, and thus the control part 5 performs a coding via the keyboard and waits for the sense given from the CPU1. Then a reading of the Chinese character is put in through the keyboard 3, and thus this information is put into the Chinese character reading register RG7. With push of the key 14, the Chinese character table 8 is retrieved to read the RG7. In case the Chinese character has just one reading, it is delivered. And in case a plural number of Chinese characters have the same reading, the form key 20 is pushed to put the form code into the form RG10. As a result of retrieval, the code of the RG9 is compared with the RG10, and the identical Chinese character numbers are put into the form retrieving RG13 to insepct the number of types of the Chinese character. If the character has two or more types, other readings of the Chinese character are supplied to deliver the limited number of Chinese characters.
