PURPOSE:To display registered information easily and to improve the efficiency of drawing up document by inputting a key, by registering the document information together with added specific key information. CONSTITUTION:As an operator inputs a key on keyboard 1 by using ''kana'' (Japanese syllabary) character keys, it is transferred from keyboard control part 2 to ''kana''-to-''kanaji'' (Chinese character) conversion part 15 and, while displayed on display 8, set in key storage buffer 16. Next, when the conversion key on keyboard 1 is pushed, the contents of dictionary file 12 are read out. Then, the key is found by referring to indexes and a document relating to the key is extracted by ''kana''-to- ''kanji'' conversion part 15 and displayed on display 8. Thus, a required document is read by using the key through the operation having the same level with normal ''kana''-to-''kanaji'' word conversion.
