Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A 1-substituted imidazole derivative shown by the formula I (n is 1W4; R1 is H or 1W4C alkyl; R2 is H or 1W4C alkyl or pharmaceutically acceptable cation) or its acid addition salt.
EXAMPLE: Methyl p-(imidazole-1-ylmethyl)phenoxyacetate.
USE: A drug having pharmaceutical actions related to inflammations, e.g., anti-inflammatory actions, inhibiting actions of blood platelet aggregation, blocking actions of biosynthesis of thromboxane A2, etc. For example, useful for prevention of cardiovascular closure by hardness, prevention of thrombosis after operation, promotion of patency of transplanted blood vessel pieces after surgical operation, prevention of remedying of arterial sclerosis, arteriosclerosis, etc. remedying of various inflammations, etc.
PROCESS: A halogenated compound shown by the formula II is condensed with imidazole in the presence of a base, and, if necessary, hydrolyzed by an alkali or converted into an acid addition salt.
