Abstract
PURPOSE:To limit an increase in transient current when a PNPN switch is off, by turning off the switch by drawing in its gate current by a constant current source. CONSTITUTION:When a driving current is flowed from gate G, PNPN switches Q1 and Q2 turn on and then transistors Q4 and Q5 turn on, supplying a current to a load. In off-control, flowing current to off-control terminal B turns on transistor Q3 constituting a constant current source and gate currents of PNPN switches Q1 and Q2 are led out. Consequently, PNPN switches Q1 and Q2 turn off and then transistor Q5 and transistor Q4 turn off in sequence, thereby interrupting the current to the load.
