CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic insulating thin film 2 such as SiO2 is formed on the substrate 1 and a hard magnetic thin film 3 in parallel with lengthwise a strip- shaped MR element film 5 is formed on it by using magnetic thin film of metaloxide such as Fe-Co-Cu and magnetic thin film of Co-P as masks through the lamination of vapor or electrodeposition.
