The circuit 13 decides that the input signal is the first signal and then opens the analog switch 6 to set to the circuit A at a fixed amplification factor. The second signal arrives and compared with the reference level Vr at the comparator 5 and via the circuit A. In case the equalization is insufficient, the gate circuit 11 is opened. Then the counting of the counter 12 is advanced by the clock pulse signal, and the analog switch 2 is switched to select the 2nd equalizer 1b having a large characteristics of equalization.
