Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the influence of external noise by antenna side lobe characteristics and improve temp. resolving power by positioning a phase plate which makes constant rotation in antenna beams. CONSTITUTION:The signal by a signal beam 14 for observation and the signal by a comparing signal beam 15 are alternately sent to a radio receiver 4 and are applied to a square-law detector 5, along with the rotation of a phase plate 10. The output of the detector 5 passes through a synchronizing detector 6 controlled by the output of an oscillator 16 oscillating square waves by detecting the rotation of the phase plate and enters an integrator 7, whereby it is integrated. If the entenna part is so designed that the side lobe characteristics of the signal beam 14 for observation and the comparing signal beam 15 are made the same, the influence of external noise temp. in the mean integrated output voltage from the integrator 7 owing to side lobe characteristics is neglected and the temp. resolving power is improved.
