Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the energy released during the transfer of steel sheet to the following process and the energy required for reheating, by covering around the steel sheet placed one upon another with heat insulating material, by arranging a coil at the outside of the heat insulating material so that the axis of the coil coincides with the piling direction of the steel sheet, and by applying AC current to the coil.
CONSTITUTION: A steel sheet 1 placed one upon another is covered around with heat insulating material 2, and a coil 3 is arranged at the outside of the insulating material 2 so that the axis of the coil 3 coincides with the direction of piling of the steel sheet. Then AC current is applied to the coil 3 from an electric power source 4, hence the steel sheet 1 is heated by the Joule heat. Hereby the energy loss from the steel sheet 1 due to heat radiation is supplied.
