Abstract

PURPOSE: To dispose water with a high efficiency using a small pump, by connecting an upward flowing line and a downward flowing line with a closed pipe line provided with a pump, and communicating the pipe line to a pipe provided with valve means.
CONSTITUTION: A deep downward flowing line A and a deep upward flowing line B are connected together with a closed pipe line C provided with a pump P. Water containing an activated sludge, to be disposed, is cycled through these lines. The water is aerated in the downward flowing line A. A pipe 9 of the closed pipe line C is provided, at that part where the flowing direction in the pipe 9 bends downwards, with a pipe 10 including valve means 11 for discharging the water to be disposed and mixed gas but intercepting the suction of the atmospheric air. Consequently, the disposer can be operated without charging an overload to the pump P even in case where a water amount to be disposed becomes large and an amount of a liquid flowing through the downward line A becomes large. Thus, water disposal can be done with a small pump economically.
