Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent gloss painted surface by subjecting a gloss paint to the multilayer coating on a surface of a paper to be coated such as a wound paper unwound continuously to make a paint coating surface uniform.
CONSTITUTION: The gloss painting apparatus is constituted from a paper supply apparatus D, a coating apparatus A, an infrared drying apparatus B, a cooling chamber C, a paper discharge table E or the like. The paper 6 to be coated such as a wound paper supplied from the paper supply apparatus D is supplied to the coating apparatus A and two coating rollers 4, 5 are always contacted with a rotary transfer roller 1 as well as provided so as to be opposed to a press roll 7 through the paper 6 to be coated and said paper 6 is coated two or more times with a coating liquid on a peripheral surface of the coating rollers 4, 5 transferred from the transfer roller 1. The coated paper is heated by an infrared heater 28 and the coating liquid is molten to be fused uniformly in a layer form. Next, said coated paper is transferred into the cooling chamber C to cool and fix the gloss surface of the coating liquid.
