Abstract
PURPOSE: To paint the inner surface of a square groove uniformly without causing deficiency of coating material or uneven thickness of film in painting the square groove of a decorative laminated sheet, by painting the inside of the square groove with hot melt coating material in a quantity not less than that required, then by melting and rolling te coating material with a hot pressing roll inserted into the square groove.
CONSTITUTION: A concaved square groove 2 having upward opening is made in the surface of a decorative laminated sheet 1 having decoration on the surface. On the bottom and on both sides of the square groove 2 is preliminarily painted with about 120W140% the required amount of hot melt coating material 3 composed of vinyl acetate-acrylic copolymer melting at about 120W130°C temp. Just after that, a hot pressing roll 4 of 150W200°C surface temp. is inserted into the square groove 2 while revolving the outer peripheral part 4a of the roll 4, hereby the inner surface of the square groove 2 is pressurized and the coating 3 is melted and rolled so as to paint the inner side surfaces and bottom surface of the square groove 2 in uniform thickness. Residual molten coating material 3 is sucked through sucking hole 5 of the roll 4 into the hollow portion of the roll 4, without running out of the groove 2 so that no coating material sticks to the surface of the decorative laminated sheet 1.
