Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the searching error, by giving a stepped variation to the sampling interval and the extent of the load function and then obtaining a highly accurate peak positions successively while securing a peak position at each step. CONSTITUTION:The 2-dimensional pattern on the picture 1 is formed into an image to the digital optical sensor 3 through the fish-eye lens 2, and then the feature point on the image 1 is searched. In this case, the sampling interval of the sensor 3 which is distant away from the optical axis 4 is increased by the characteristics of the lens 2. The lens 2 and the sensor 3 are mounted on the optical device 7 which can be moved by the driving device 6. The output of the sensor 3 is divided equally into three parts according to the distance from the axis 4 and then connected to the terminals 8a-8c successively via the data outside the sensor 3. At the same time, the feature patterns to be searched are stored in the memory devices 10a-10c respectively, and the correlation is obtained by the correlation unit 12 between the feature pattern and the output of the 3-divided part of the sensor 3. Then the smapling interval and the extent of the load function are switched successively to the lower step by the multiplexers 9-11. The device 7 is moved to obtain the peak position at each step. Thus the searching error can be eliminated.
