Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled aqueous dispersion capable of being formed into a film at relatively low temperature, having improved storage stability, obtained by dispersing an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin having a low content of vinyl acetate into particles with specific particle diameters in the presence of a specified partially saponified PVA.
CONSTITUTION: (A) An ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin having a melt flow ratio not less than 30g/10min and a vinyl acetate content 20W60wt% is dispersed in (C) 30W1,000pts.wt water based on 100pts.wt. component A in the presence of (B) 2W35pts.wt. preferably 10W25pts.wt. partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol having (x%) 68W82mol% saponification degree a melting point (Tm°C) satisfying the equation shown by the formula 0.50x+179≥Tm≥1.19x+73, and remaining acetic acid groups distributed in a blocked way in the molecuale based on 100pts.wt. component A to form particles, wherein the dispersion contains particles having 3μ average particle size, more preferably ≥20wt% of particles having ≤1μ particle size.
