Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an aqueous dispersion of resin consisting of ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, chlorinated polypropylene, wax, fatty acid amide, PVA and a specified compd., having good storage stability and forming a film at a relatively low temp.
CONSTITUTION: A compd. selected from among polyethylene-imine resin and epichlorohydrin adduct of polyamide is added in 0.1W10pts.wt. to an aqueous dispersion obtained by blending (I) a molten mixt. of 100pts.wt. resin consisting of (a) 30W90wt% ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer with vinyl acetate content of 15W50wt%, (b) 5W40wt% chlorinated polypropylene with a chlorine content of 20W40wt% and (c) 5W40wt% of wax with a m.p. of 55W100°C (e.g. paraffin wax) and 0.1W5pst.wt. 12W25C fatty acid amide (e.g., stearamide) with (II) an aqueous solution prepared by dissolving 2W30pts.wt. PVA with a saponification degree of 65mol% or higher in 40W1,000pts.wt. water.
