PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of an AM receiver, by obtaining the carrier signal through a serial circuit of the band pass filters for lower and upper side waves. CONSTITUTION:The mobile contacts 26a-29a of the switches 26-29 are connected to the lower side wave fixed contacts 26L-29L each to obtain the lower side wave detection signal. The output of the intermediate frequency amplifier 5 is supplied to the multiplying circuit 32 via the lower-side wave band pass filter 19 and the upper side wave band pass filter 20 plus the phase adjusting circuit 31, respectively. Thus the lower side wave detection signal is obtained at the output side of the low- band pass filter 33 to be reproduced through the speaker 18. For acquisition of the upper side wave detection signal, the contacts 26a-29a of the switches 26-29 are connected to the upper side wave fixed contacts 26U-29U, respectively.
