Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the life and the performance of a solid-electrolyte battery by employing an organic halide as the positive active material of the battery which has a negative electrode made of lithium and a solid electrolyte made of lithium nitride. CONSTITUTION:A solid-electrolyte battery includes metal lithium as a negative active material 3, lithium-nitride film as an electrolyte layer 1, and an organic halide such as N-bromosuccinic imide or N-bromoacetimide which is stable to lithium nitride for a positive-active material layer 2. The former positive layer 2 is preferred to be a molded mixture of an organic-halide powder with a conductive agent and a binding agent.
