Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance resistance to chemical corrosion of filter elements by using a matrix of fine filaments of synthetic resin or its 3-dimensional network structure containing dispersed ferromagnetic fine particles as ferromagnetic filter elements. CONSTITUTION:Ferromagnetic fine particles 9, such as iron, ferrite, or permalloy powder are added to a resin in a fluid state, such as polyolefin, polyvinyl chloride, nylon, polyester, or ''Teflon '', and matrix 8 for filter elements is prepared by the known synthetic resin spinning method, thus permitting particles 9 to be protected with the synthetic resin matrix 8, corrosion resistance of the filter elements to be enhanced, the forms and structure of them to be selected optionally, and therefore, a magnetic filter of superior performance to be economically prepared.
