Abstract

PURPOSE:To replenish a fixed amount of the toner and prevent the scattering of the toner by rotating a photosensitive drum and a magnetic roll and operating a toner replenishing means during their revolution for a fixed time. CONSTITUTION:In the case of replenishing the toner to a developing device on account of need for maintenance, etc., a manual switch is operated to revolve a photosensitive drum 1 and a magnetic roll 2 at a constant speed, after which a toner replenishing means 4 is rotated for a fixed time, whereby the toner is replenished. Upon ending of the toner replenishment, the drum 1 and the roll 2 are stopped. Thereby, a fixed amount of the toner may be replenished and the toner is sufficiently agitated, whereby the scattering of the toner is prevented as well. In addition, the amount of replenishment is readily regulated by changing the operation time.
