Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce an error in cutting length and to facilitate an adjustment by operating a cutter with the output signal of the 2nd counter by using the 1st and 2nd counters and shift registers. CONSTITUTION:Encoder 27, coupled wth photosensitive drum 13, generate pulses of the frequency that corresponds to the carriage speed of an original. In response to 100 pulses from the encoder, one pulses is led out of correcting pulse generator 28 and counted by pulse counter 29. For an input pulse to counter 29, the pulse from correcting generator 28 is changed over to that from encoder 27 with a signal from sensor 26 on the detection of the end edge of the original, and counter 29 counts pulses from the encoder continuously. When counting the input pulses up to a prescribed number, counter 29 outputs a cutting signal to drives a solenoid for a cutter, which operates cutter 21 to cut transfer paper. Consequently, an error in cutting length can be reduced.
