Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the size of a pump, by setting two permanent magnets to both ends of a piston, the magnets being positioned in the magnetic field of a low-capacity solenoid coil for compensating the coil.
CONSTITUTION: As a solenoid coil 23 is applied with an alternative current, the tip of a cylinder 14 of core 22 repeatedly magnetized from N to S and vice versa to give attraction and repulsion to the polarity of permanent magnets 19, 20 for making a piston 15 to repeat reciprocating movement in the cylinder 14. Since the permanent magnets 19, 20 are set to both ends of the piston 15, driving force of the piston 15 is intensified, either one of the magnets 19, 20 being attracted while the other being repulsed. This means that any compact solenoid coil 23 is readily available, because its low capacity is compensated by the permanent magnets 19, 20. In addition, the configuration of a suction port 26 aligned with a discharge port 27 is also effective for reducing the size.
