Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a large drive force over the entire stroke of a plunger by combining a permanent magnet forming a plunger and two exciting coils to be excited so that confronting end faces become the same polarity poles. CONSTITUTION:Exciting coils 2a, 2b are connected so that the end faces confronting through a plate-shaped yoke 3 become the same polarity poles. A plungger 7, on which magnetic pieces 7 are mounted on the upper and lower end faces of a permanent magnet 8, is elevationally slidably inserted into a guide tube 4. When the coils 2a, 2b are not energized and the plunger 7 is disposed at the lower position, a passage of the magnetic flux of the magnetic 8 becomes as designated by arrows phi1, phi2, and the plunger 7 is latched to the lower position. Then, when the coils 2a, 2b are excited as shown, a passage of the magnetic flux becomes as designated by arrows phi3, phi4, and the plunger 7 is driven upwardly by the attracting drive force Fa and the repelling drive force Fb. Subsequently, when the coils 2a, 2b are excited in the state that the plunger 7 is moved upwardly, the plunger 7 is latched to the upper position.
