Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the effect of external disturbance light by knowing the magnitude of the infrared component of the external disturbance light from the magnitude of the current flowing in an infrared detecting element, discriminating fluorescent lamp noise from incandescent lamp noise and preventing automatic gain control from acting upon the fluorescent lamp noise. CONSTITUTION:The DC current by the external disturbance light incident to an infrared detecting element 1 is detected as a voltage drop across a resistance 6, and an automatic gain control circuit 8 is intermitted by a transistor TR switch 7. Namely, when the voltage across the resistance 6 rises higher than the voltage between the base and emitter of the TR7 on increasing of the current flowing the resistance 6, the TR7 goes ON. Under the external disturbance light of the same illuminance, the gain control does not act and a maximum gain is obtained with a fluorescent lamp and the gain having received the gain control is obtained with an incandscent lamp.
