Abstract

PURPOSE: An amorphous and self-hardening powder is added to a mixture of oil sludge and an oil-absorbing substance and they are kneaded under mixing to form combustible surface films, thus producing arbitrarily granuled solid fuels readily.
CONSTITUTION: Oil sludge and an oil-absorbing substance of an appropriate shape such as sawdust or pearlite are throughly mixed in a mixer or kneader and further, an amorphous and self-hardening powder such as cement, lime or gypsum is added. They are thoroughly mixed and made into granules of an appropriate size or an arbitrary form, thus producing the objective solid fuel.
EFFECT: The present invention resolves problems accompanied by oil sludge disposal and contributes to energy saving. Further, the resultant solid fuel is larger than coal fuel in the total calorie and much less in the formation of toxic gases.
